Earlier this week I moved back to Lincoln after spending a quiet two months at home over summer. It’s fantastic having my own space again and feeling independant, however like last year, we don’t actually have a bath in the new apartment – only showers. This meant in the last few days leading up to the big move, I had to use as many bath bombs up as I could! This bath bomb in particular was picked up as part of a haul from the Sheffield blogger meet up – it really stood out to me as you can imagine!

“This ginger, pepper and lemon-scented bath bomb turns your water psychedelic and puts some colour in your life. Simply drop into a warm bath and watch as its fizzing centre dissolves into multi-coloured waters. Its spicy, citrusy scent will pep you up: lemon oil boosts the mood, while ginger and pepper are warming.” – Lush

Although it’s a gentle and rather quiet bath bomb, the second it hits the water a beautiful vivid swirl of creamy foam begins to disperse across the tub and create wonderful patterns on the water. Due to the slow fizz, I feel that the Granny Takes A Dip bath bomb is well worth the money – plus it’s frickin’ huge! The bath bomb fizzes away for ages releasing so many gorgeously bright colours, that slowly come together to turn the bath water a deep pink/plum shade. I did get a bit of foam left on the top as you can see in the image below, however this disappears after a while.

The scent isn’t overpowering – in fact in the bath tub I could hardly smell anything at all, which I was slightly disappointed at. However for £3.25, it’s a steal and given it’s size and performance, works a treat for all of those with a tight budget – you could easily cut it in half and enjoy two separate baths.
