In this post I will be reviewing the Blogger App, which is designed for iPhones and iPads. It is a very basic app that allows you to compose a post that you can save to draft or immediately publish. And so, I will in fact be using this app to create and post this review from my iPhone, which I believe is appropriate.
In all honesty I wasn’t expecting much from this app, however it definitely exceeded my expectations. The Blogger App has various features such as allowing you to use pictures from your phone and add it to a post, and update your blog on the go. You can switch to view your separate blogs if you have more than one, and the actual display when you go to view your blog is superb, and very easy to follow and read. You are still able to use the app to create a post even when you are not connected to the Internet, though obviously you can’t publish it if you are not connected. This is quite handy if you wanted to write a draft of a post to upload at a later time.
The downside of this app is that you are unable to add hyperlinks, videos or change font etc, and you cannot view other features such as your blog statistics. Although if you have a google plus account connected to your blog, you can view the account information and notifications from the app, which is a nifty little feature.
Personally I will be keeping this Blogger app, as it suits my basic needs to post to my blog. If I ever need any of the more intricate features, I will simply use the web version if and when I need to.
Summery: This app would be useful to those who want to write a quick, simple post to update their blog with a busy day to day lifestyle.
